Caregiver qualifications

  Our caregivers:

• Have a heart to serve others!

• Are kind and compassionate

• Are dependable and reliable

• Are at least 18 years of age

• Are able to read, write and speak English

• Have at least 6 months caregiving experience

• Are able to pass a local, national, and federal criminal background check

• Are able to pass a national motor vehicle records check

• Are able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

• Provide 3 professional references

  Caregiver job duties:

• Light Housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying)

• Meals (planning, preparation, clean-up)

• Transportation (transporting clients to appointments, errands, escort)

• Pet Care (feeding, clean-up, walking)

• Dressing clients

• Bathing clients (bed bath, tub, shower)

• Assist clients with grooming (shaving, hair, oral hygiene, etc.)

• Skin, nail, foot care

• Assist clients with toileting, incontinence care

• Assist clients with mobility 

• Turning and positioning clients (for meals, to prevent pressure sores)

• Fall prevention

• Transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair, commode, etc. using pivot technique, slider board, Hoyer lift)

• Range of motion exercise therapy

• Nurse Delegated Tasks
